Rose Under Dome Card Project – Available 23rd Oct To 1st Nov

By admin | October 24, 2011

Hi Crafters,

The project this week is The Rose Dome. This is a beautiful card suitable for many occasions, and sure to be a keepsake. The rose maybe fiddley but it’s easy to make.

The plastic domes are very effective and can be found at all good craft stores. You can add anything, I added a string of pearls from my stash box using little dots of glue. Any other beads would work just as well – either glued down or just scattered, or maybe some glitter confetti.

Hi Crafters,

Here’s a Christmas project for you to get cracking with :)

All rockin’ cards are made using an identical format, follow the instructions here. The only difference is the occasion ie: what it is about, who it may be for and the sheetsfor you to print. I made this on plain card and also on shiny photo paper. Although they both look good I prefer the glossy.

Purple Lattice Aperture Card Project – Available 27th Aug To 7th Sept

By admin | August 28, 2011

Hi There Crafters,

Had a little break but we’re back now… Todays free project is an aperture card. It’s a soft purple template with a circle aperture to cut out. Just download print and cut out as shown in the video. The insert for this is a matching sheet to print on paper.

To fill the aperture I used thin strips of holographic card, it only takes twelve strips – six each way. You can use up scraps of card for this and, depending on what is available in your craft box you could probably mix it with a dozen colours for a rainbow effect.

Blue Double Door Gatefold Card Project – Available 29th July To 6th Aug

By admin | July 30, 2011

Hi Crafters,

It’s Margaret here from Making Card Projects

The project for today is a beautiful Gatefold card. You’ll love it. The doors on the gatefold are decorated acetate. The centre panels of the doors are cut out and replaced with acetate. The large inside panel has a complete layer of decorated mirror card. The two cards shown have either silver or blue mirror card beautifully decorated with my ever favourite butterflies.

The decorations used are gold iridescent peel offs and each example has a centre bower circled with butterflies. There are more butterflies on the mirror card together with sparkling dots. Both doors complete the theme with more butterflies in various sizes and the centre edges of the doors have matching peel off borders.
